The last few times I have been out in the street course there has also been a couple people testing it out. Come on down and check it out. October 27th

I had dinner with Jack Olson and got the scoop on Damn Am Costa Mesa. Sounds like 3rd Lair was well represented, both Jack Olson and Cody Davis made it to the semi finals and Alec Majerus (skating in his first Damn Am) also did well. He said it was a great time but he has a lot of school work to get caught up on. I guess that is what happens when you rip and are still in high school.

King of the Groms is over, what a weekend. The skating was epic all weekend, the expert street finals will be talked about for a long time. October 23rd

This will probably be my last blog on the 3rdLair website until after King of the Groms weekend. But, keep up to date on KIng of the groms .net we wil be posting results and updates all weekned. Also, like I said check 3rdLair's twitter and facebook and we will keep you up to date. Doors open at noon and then we will be skating all day. The park looks great there is a fresh coat of paint up and the crew hung new sponsor banners. Special thanks again to World Industries, Ollie Pop, Jessup Grip, and Woodward for all their support. We couldn't put on a great event without them.

I was walking through the shop and man it looks great! Mrod has filled that place up in the last couple of weeks. Everytime I come in Kyle is unloading new decks, trucks, or wheels. Also the selection of shoes is as good as it has been all year. (stay away from the Vox Troopers size 11.5 those are mine) Are you a friend of 3rd lair on Twitter and Facebook? Two days until King of the Groms qualifier here at 3rd Lair. Last night when I went by the park you could tell we were getting close. Trog and crew were out working on the course to make sure it is dialed in for the big event. Jasper, Axion, The Stranger, Butters and others were all working on their best tricks. Updates in from Orlando and Jack Olson. Sounds like Jack skated great and represented 3rd Lair and Minnesota. Check out this quote from the Dew Tour web site "Jack is only 15, but skated like a grown man, flipping onto and out of rails. Got to love Minnesota! It is 25 degrees outside and there is snow on the ground. I went to a wedding last night that was supposed to be outdoors...that didn't happen. The good news is we have an indoor park. Should be a good day at the Lair - MP

The Trog Army took over the boomerang last Sunday!! Despite the cold weather Trog pulled together a platoon of soldiers and they shredded the bowl. Trog did a great job of organizing the event and making sure everyone had a great time. Around 8pm he lit up the bowl and live music started. The army "rammed it down" until late in the night, inculing a session over a portable pool ladder. checkout the pictures and more details at Trogarmy.com - MP

Volcom wild in the parks turned out to be a great event for the mid-west and 3rd Lair. Alec Majerus took first in the 14 and Under division and Jack Olson took 6th in the Pro-am. And according to Jonathon (butters) he and the other Minnesotan skated great. Word is they also had time to tear up other parks and street spots, hopefully they got some picture they can share with us - mp

Back to the Bowl Bash 09 this weekend! The first Trog Army event is happening on Sunday. Check out Trog Army.com for details. It is going to be a great day. There are some unique categories to compete in and a couple different divisions. Also part of the contest is going to be done under the lights. Trog told me he is going to spend the next couple days making trophies. Trogmade trophies…how cool is that. - MP

Sept 27th 2009

3rd Lair Took over Pine City Today. Trog and I went to Pine City, ran a contest and demo. The kids were great, the weather was perfect (a little windy), and the park was fun.
Our first event of the day was the PINE CITY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OUT THROW DOWN!!! After rounds of hot skating Alex Milam (Chisago City) walked away with the win. He narrowly beat out Jordon Satter (Pine City)and Colton Hecht (Pine City).
Next the 3rd Lair Demo team put on a show for the crowd. Special thanks to Jackson, Benny, Julien, Sam, Michael, and special guests Matt Omen and Andrew Ellison. The team killed it and got everyone psyched for the final street course contest. Below are the results for all three divisions. The kids in Pine City are obviously taking full advantage of their Park.

Check out this sick article that the City Pages did on the O. T. C. - 'Old Timers Club'. A very good read - these are all the guys that I grew up skating with - my idols and friends! I still look up to all these guys and of course they are STILL RIPPING!!! Be sure to peep the Trog Blog for updates on the State Fair Course and much more! We are headed to Woodward, PA. next week for another King of the Groms Qualifier!
